"Katy knows how I feel. Our family is very open and she knows how disappointed her father and me. I can not even hear the song. The first time I heard it is really shocked. When it came on the radio I bow my head and pray."
Hudson said her daughter, who grew up as a church singer, has been lost in the music industry.
"Katy is our daughter and we love her but we really do not agree with how she led her own at the time.
"We can not eliminate her from our lives because she is our child but she knew we really did not agree with what she did and the message that she is promoting regarding homosexuality which the Bible clearly stated sin. But the Bible also promotes understanding and forgiveness, I remind you that remain. "
Perry previously admitted that she did not always agree with her parents. "I stopped trying to change them when she was 21," said the woman who wore her mother's last name.
